- 2018, Certificate III, Certificate IV, Courses, Matthew Hayward, Sharni Honor, St Paul's Creative Centre, VET
Our Music Industry students gain practical industry skills on site at St. Paul’s Creative Centre – here are Certificate III VET students Henry Scott and Olivia Gallina (centre) with Music SA Head of Training Matthew Hayward and Certificate III in Event Management trainer Sharni Honor.
Admissions are now open for Music SA Courses in 2018 with Certificate III in Music Industry (Songwriting & Event Management) and Certificate IV in Music Industry (Music Business) now available for student enrolment.
The Certificate III in Music Industry (Songwriting and Performing Original Music & Event Management) is a popular course is designed to give VET students a fascinating insight into the music industry, focusing on band management and event management. Students will gain an insight into the world of music business, exploring areas of creative artist management including career planning, micro business development and event logistics and planning, culminating in the delivery of a live music event.
In the Certificate IV in Music Industry (Music Business) students do not need to be musicians themselves, however they must have an interest in the music industry as a career. Musicians are also encouraged to participate, as these are the same skills they will need to pursue their own careers as a self managed artist in the modern music industry. Some job role examples include band/artist manager, booking agent, music marketing and promotions and self-employed independent musicians.
Full and part time options for the Certificate IV are also available! Study either during or out of hours on Tuesday evenings from 6:30pm until 9pm.
Our Head of Training Matthew Hayward is now available for one on one meetings with prospective students and parents at the Music SA office located in St. Paul’s Creative Centre (corner of Pulteney and Flinders St.), with the following dates now available for booking in October:
