Two lucky Music SA students were very fortunate to be invited to attend the Groovin The Moo x Heaps Decent Future Musicians Workshop with special guest speaker Montaigne!
Certificate IV student Chloe Warrick and alumni Tom Wormald were chosen from a host of applications from local producers, beat makers, lyricists & songwriters aged between 15-24 to be a part of this year’s workshop series. Chloe is currently working on her debut recordings through her school and Tom has recently started striking out on his own as electronic solo artist Tusk. The workshops focused on a range of elements such as music production and songwriting techniques and were held backstage at Wayville Showgrounds. Both students were over the moon at being given the opportunity to accelerate their music business skills with such an innovative artist.
Music SA also had a strong contingent at GTM – with students from both the Certificate III and IV courses in volunteer placement roles throughout the day and evening. Staff also braved the chillier conditions to promote the upcoming Umbrella: Winter City Sounds music festival to be held in the Adelaide CBD from July 14th – 30th.
A huge thank you goes out to Groovin The Moo, Heaps Decent and Cattleyard for having our students once again at this year’s festival.
