Q & A

What was the highlight of your experience studying with MusicSA?
The highlight of this course for me has been being able to learn the ins and outs of the music industry and applying that knowledge with my band Sunsick Daisy.

Since starting Sunsick Daisy, what has been your most proud achievement?
My proudest moment with Sunsick Daisy has been becoming triple J unearthed high finalists, and it’s something I still can’t wrap my head around.

What advice would you give to someone starting their journey in the music industry?
[The] advice I would give to someone starting their journey in the music industry would be learning to network, don’t expect things to happen in a hurry, be genuine and believe in the music you are playing, and to just enjoy yourself.

What do you love most about the Adelaide/South Australian music scene?
The South Australian music scene is the most wholesome talented community, most of my experiences with people have been really lovely and especially when we were just announced as unearthed high finalists, I felt the love and support from the SA music community and it makes me feel really happy to be able to connect with people through music.
